To all ladies and Lad, hope you've experienced a different lifestyle, culture and industry. It's cool to see such corporative and independant pple like you. I must say your mini-cinema was very innovative. And our shopaholic birdies; your bargaining and shopping skills overwhelmed me. Can work as a buyer next time lah... lol. Wish your new friendships will bring you endless joy and laughters. And of course do share your studies and work experiences too. Without you, the trip wouldn't be as successful and fun. Must thank Mr Ong for the months of nerve-wracking preparations he had to go through and Mrs Lim's strong support. Without them there wouldn't be any trip. Hope this tune can brings you fond memories of the trip:All the single Lady(Lad), All the single Lad
All the single Lady(Lad), I'm a single Lad(Lady)
All the single Lady(Lad), I'm a single Lad(Lady)
You gotta let me go
Are we human, all are we dancer
My sign is vital, my hands are cold,
Now I'm on my knees, looking for the answers
Are we human, or all are dancer
All the single Lady, All the single Lad
All the single Lady, All the single Lad...
May tommorrow, be a perfect day
May you find love and laughter along the way
May GOD keep u in his tender care
Til He find us together again..
Saturday, October 18, 2008Sunday, September 28, 2008Poly Forum 08 - Sep 2008 It had been a long while committing to another project. After two years of slogging for DMT, the forum may be a relief from the technical stuff. I knew it would be fun, and sure I would enjoy working with the “kids” that I meet, but still, I lamented the amount of work and time that I would have to commit.
Having to facilitate the Entrepreneurship Sub-theme was a great challenge: thought that it would be more relevant for someone in the business faculty. However, to able to get it done would be a great challenge.
The Polytechnic Forum 08 was over, ended with a “bang”: The main committee had done an impressive job putting the events together… but the fatigues lingering on.
As usual, when a job is done everything looks simple. But really the amount of work in the background, getting participants from different parts of Singapore to share a little of their commitment, motivating them to handle the project, helping them to get it right, helping them to gel together, helping them to learn, helping them to experience, helping them to close the loops, settle the account.… The list goes on, the worry goes on and the graying persisted…
Knew it would be done, Knew it would be over. But never did I know that I would meet such cool “kids” that get along like a house on fire: Nasty at times, always cheeky, ever mischievous and never stop laughing. Children, control yourself!
Really, I see multitudes of gifted and talented youngsters here in Singapore. Many were extremely active with lots of other commitments. And my advice is: To excel in a particular area, you have to stay focus on the area that you are pursuing. There are many distractions around and that could be a hindrance to achieving your goal. Run-on Children!
